Full course description

In this intermediate level course, you'll deepen your understanding of meaning making by unpacking its fundamental components and examining what happens when they are missing from classroom practice. Building on the foundation from the introductory course, you’ll explore the connections between the Farmington Profile of a Learner, AMT (Acquisition, Meaning Making, Transfer), and student positioning. Through analysis of sample lessons, you’ll evaluate how each element of the instructional blueprint contributes to meaning making by analyzing what happens when it is not there. This course is designed to support thoughtful reflection and elevate your ability to design learning that is purposeful, engaging, and aligned to your students' developmental needs.
