Full course description
In this interactive online course, you’ll explore the fundamentals of meaning making—how students connect new learning to prior knowledge and deepen understanding in engaging ways. Using real examples from Farmington Public Schools colleagues, you’ll analyze the key components of meaning making and reflect on what they look like in practice. Through videos and examination of sample lesson transformations you’ll see how meaning making increases student engagement and ownership of learning. This course is designed to spark reflection, inspire new ideas, and support practical shifts in your instructional approach.
